Natural Gas, Heat Pump & Hybrid Pool and Spa Heaters

The only way to continuously enjoy your pool is to heat the water to the perfect temperature.  We can help you decide the  pool and spa heating solutions for every application, budget and climate .

There are 3 methods:  Gas . . . Heat Pumps . . . Hybrids

Additional Considerations To Help You Choose

  • Do you live in a cooler or warmer climate?
  • Is your pool covered or exposed to the elements?
  • What is your cheapest source of energy?
  • How often do you use your heater?
  • Are you looking to extend your swimming season into the cooler months?

Comparing Heater Technology

Gas Heaters

  • The greatest benefit of energy efficient pool and spa heaters is that they heat your pool and spa in minutes or hours versus the hours or days required initially to warm the pool with a heat pump contributing to the conservation of energy
  • Gas heat is ideal if you don't use your pool or spa on a daily basis, and just want to heat your pool or spa as needed. Key attributes of gas pool heaters are that they're environmentally responsible and lower the cost of ownership via its energy efficiency and reliability.
  • Another benefit of gas pool heaters is they perform well in any climate. They'll heat your pool and spa on the coldest of days versus the limits of a heat pump.

Heat Pumps

  • Heat pumps can be incredibly energy efficient at maintaining a constant water temperature and can deliver savings of up to 70% versus gas pool and spa heaters and can help in the conservation of energy
  • Heat pumps are very efficient because they utilize the heat from the surrounding air to heat the pool's water versus burning natural gas or propane.
  • Heat pumps work well in warmer climates but are at a disadvantage in colder climates.
  • Cooler air temperatures may not have sufficient heat in the air to keep your pool as warm as you desire. At these lower temperatures a heat pump is likely not the best option for heating your pool.
  • Warmer climates and especially pools and spas with dark surface finishes benefit from the water being cooled. If you live in a climate that can become extremely hot the heat/cool heat pump is a perfect choice.
  • Bel Air, Beverly Hills, Malibu & Surrounding Communities

Hybrid = Gas Heater & Heat Pump Combo

A Hybrid gas and heat pump pool and spa heaters combination will deliver energy savings utilizing the heat pump a majority of the time, and switching to a gas pool heater when the temperature drops. Other benefits include conservation of energy by:

  • Most energy efficient way to heat or cool your pool and/or spa in any climate
  • Heat pump efficiently maintains ideal pool temperature while gas heater rapidly raises spa temperature on demand
  • The ability to choose between heat pump or gas heat on cooler days and in colder climate.

Would You Rather Cool Your Pool & Spa?

  • In very warm climates where air temperatures are high during certain months of the year, you may want to cool your pool or spa rather than heat it. Dark surface pools also can add unwanted heat to pool water.
  • If this is the case there are  heat pumps that  have the same energy efficient, high performance benefit with the added cooling system for the ideal pool water temperature.
